“It glows with authenticity . . . the production distinguishes itself . . . Andrey Prikhodko dazzles often with smooth, controlled pirouettes and also does an unusually good job with his lifts, making them seem completely natural and effortless.”

Take the family to enjoy a holiday-inspired ballet you will talk about for days after you leave the theatre. Set to the timeless score by Peter Ilych Tchaikovsky, Paul Mejia’s choreography of The Nutcracker is both unique and captivating to the entire family.

From his many contacts around the world, Mejia selects dancers who embody their Nutcracker roles. Mejia joined the New York City Ballet in 1964 and danced principal roles in many of George Balanchine’s ballets. A celebrated choreographer, Mejia has choreographed ballets since he was 14. His ballet Eight by Adler, set to music by Richard Adler, was broadcast by PBS, winning an Emmy award for its principal performer, Suzanne Farrell.
