Gold Medalist of the 2009 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, Nobuyuki Tsujii is an expressive and passionate young pianist. Blind since birth, Tsujii, believes that “there are no barriers in the field of music.” He also won the Beverley Taylor Smith Award for the Best Performance of a New Work for his interpretation of John Musto’s Improvisation and Fugue.
He has the ability to learn challenging scores by ear and then interpret them in an eloquent and zealous manner that moves an audience.
