Self-taught for the most part, Artist/Painter of Urban Landscapes and Portraits from Life began serious exploration of theme, materials and technique in Los Angeles, CA. around 1986 when living in the “Art Loft” neighborhood of downtown Los Angeles.
Professional Hightlights:
1994 Winner of the Tejano Conjunto Festival poster contest; in 1999 was one of 20 artists to participate in the “Percent for Art” program for The San Antonio Convention Center Expansion Project. Jacinto has exhibited his work at Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center, Mexican Cultural Institute, The Museo Alameda and Gallery 118 and in 2005 exhibited two series of paper figurines called World Conflict Figures at the BZ design gallery and Forgotten Hollywood at the Bijou Cinema Theater. These were painted figurines made out of paper, glue and wire.
